Jordan Vogt-Roberts
Jordan Charles Vogt-Roberts is an American film and television director and screenwriter. His feature directorial debut, ''The Kings of Summer'' screened at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, where it was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize, and also at the 2013 Cleveland International Film Festival. Vogt-Roberts' best-known film may be ''The Kings of Summer''. The film screened at the Sundance Film Festival and the Cleveland International Film Festival, and also won the Narrative Feature Audience Award at the 2013 Dallas International Film Festival. Prior to directing ''The Kings of Summer'', Vogt-Roberts wrote and directed a short film, ''Successful Alcoholics'', which starred T.J. Miller and Lizzy Caplan. After directing ''Successful Alcoholics'', Vogt-Roberts would work on Comedy Central's ''Mash Up''. He co-wrote the series with Miller and directed all of its episodes.〔(''Mash Up'' profile ), comedycentral.com; accessed January 11, 2014.〕 He has directed various episodes of ''Funny or Die Presents'' as well as several episodes of MTV's ''Death Valley'' and nearly all the episodes of the web series ''Single Dads''. Prior to directing and writing ''Successful Alcoholics'', Vogt-Roberts directed the short film ''Mint in a Box'' (2009), and two web series: ''Memoirs of a Manchild'' (2009-2010) and ''Book Club'' (2009-2013).
In September 2014, it was announced that Roberts will be directing ''Kong: Skull Island'' set to be released on March 17, 2017.
